About Us

KIKO Core Values diagram showing five key principles: Expert coaching in a fun and progressive environment, inspiring individuals to fulfill their potential and build confidence, developing skills to improve teamwork, promoting sportsmanship and respect for others, and educating players' vital life skills through sport.

Our Programme, By Age

MINIS (18 months – 4.5 years) Our earliest years programme is all about confidence, coordination and a first love of the ball. Parents who started with us at MINIS often tell us how settled and confident their children were once they reached full-time education — the foundations built on the pitch carry over well beyond it.

JUNIORS (4.5 – 10 years) Most of our JUNIORS have been with us for several years, and the building blocks we develop are clearly visible in how they play. Children in this programme begin to understand structure and take their first steps into our unique style of play, where the focus is on keeping possession of the ball within a team framework.

Team Training (6 – 18 years) In our Team Training programme, players develop a work ethic and mindset to practise, whatever their ability. Their desire to improve — and to have fun — is supported by our game-based coaching approach, where children enjoy problem-solving and learning skills in real game situations. Along the way, they come to understand the culture we're building at Kiko: one underpinned by creativity, teamwork and respect for others.

Our Values

Respect · Resilience · Kindness

Young players develop best in an environment that's progressive and focused on the long term, and these three values are what we build that environment on. They shape our culture from a child's very first session onwards, and they're what we hope every child carries with them long after they've left the pitch.

Respect — for the game, for teammates, for opponents, and for coaches and officials. We want children to win and lose with grace, and to understand that how they treat others matters as much as how they play.

Resilience — the ability to make a mistake, shake it off, and try again. Football is full of setbacks, and we see every one of them as a chance to build character and confidence rather than something to fear.

Kindness — looking out for one another, on and off the ball. We want Kiko to be a place where children lift each other up, celebrate their teammates' successes, and support one another through the tough moments.

These values are reinforced in every session, at every age group, by every coach — not as rules to be recited, but as habits we hope become second nature.

Our Approach

At Kiko Soccer Schools, our aim is to inspire, educate and develop the individual through our coaching style. Our training programme and coaching methods enable children of all ages to quickly learn to manipulate the ball, build up skills and grow in confidence. Our focus is to nurture the individual alongside developing the footballer.

Running for over 17 years, we now have more than 1,300 children taking part in our sessions each week, with a programme for children ranging from 18 months to 18 years — some of whom have gone on to join professional football academies.

With a team of coaches ranging from current semi-pro footballers to experts in pre-school development, Kiko Soccer Schools offers children the opportunity to learn not just football skills but vital social skills that will be the building blocks for their future.
