Kiko Minis: their first love of the ball

Fun, 45-minute parent-and-toddler football sessions in Ashtead, Epsom and Leatherhead. Every activity has a ball and a football theme, building confidence, coordination and friendships along the way.

Minis is the very first stage of the Kiko pathway. In each 45-minute session, you and your little one take part together in structured, playful football games, every one with a ball and a football theme. Along the way we weave in numbers, colours and shapes, so children are learning without even noticing.

Our coaches keep every session warm, fun and pressure-free. Whether your child dives straight in or prefers to watch for a while first, they'll leave with a smile and a sticker.

What your child gains

  • Confidence: trying new things, taking turns and celebrating every small win.

  • Coordination: balance, movement and early ball skills through fun games.

  • Friendships: playing alongside, then with, other children of the same age

  • School readiness: listening, following instructions, early numbers, colours & shapes.

What to Expect at Your First Kiko Minis Session

Starting something new can feel a little daunting for toddlers and parents alike. Here's exactly what happens.

  1. A warm welcome. Our coaches greet you both. There's no pressure to jump straight in. Some children are off exploring straight away, others like to watch first, and both are fine.

  2. Fun with a ball. Games with balls, cones and movement build coordination, balance and listening, all with a football theme.

  3. Playing together. Minis is a parent-and-toddler class, so you'll join in alongside your child. Your encouragement helps them feel safe to have a go.

  4. Sticker time. Every session ends with everyone's favourite part, a sticker to celebrate their effort.

What to bring

  • “It is so much more than simply a fun session where little children from the ages of under two to four learn soccer skills. Obviously soccer skills are an important part of each session but there is so much more learning that takes place. “

  • “They have an extraordinary talent and belief in their ability to teach such young children and to make their learning so meaningful. It is truly amazing to watch the twelve little two and three year old boys in my youngest grandson’s group, focus so intently on every word they say. “

  • Developing social skills is another area in which Kiko excels. Two and three year olds tend to play ‘alongside’ each other but in Kiko they begin to successfully participate in ’partner’ work, and to develop the concept of being a member of a team, helping and looking out for each other. It is a most heart warming sight watching these two and three year old children following Frank’s request to find another child to shake hands with after completing a successful team activity!”
